Can't access a publicly maintained site? That would be the BELLEVILLE dog park. Whose membership fees go up with the amount of dogs you have. I understand protecting your dogs from diseases but proving that should not require fees. Its exclusion, not what this city needs. Attraction is the name of the economic development game not exclusion. This is a conflict of interest when public funds are used to maintain a privatized park. Bad bad news for the city
My Yorkies are full of energy and this park is very spacious giving them more than enough space to run freely and enjoy themselves!!! Great dog park!!!
I would not have even considered owning the breed of dog I adopted without convenient access to this beautiful park. Large, fenced-in park area with two separate paddocks, trees, benches, agility equipment, and potable water spigots. Belleville works hard to keep landscaping and equipment maintained, which is a challenge with the volume of fast-paced play that park sees daily. I'd love to see restrooms, a serviceable water fountain, and possibly a dog-wash station but it's pretty great as is. The park IS access-controlled and has a small annual fee; that's not unheard of for many types of municipal parks. Best thing of all: my pup is always so happy to be here.
Love this park! Our German Shepherd has a grand old time running a round and meeting new pups! Worth the small yearly fee which helps with accountability and ensures that all dogs present have had rabies shots.
